Challenge
The project is a new high-end commercial and residential development situated along the banks of the Marginal Pinheiros, which is one of the main thoroughfares in the city of São Paulo. To construct the structure, it was necessary to build a retaining wall due to the 4.80-meter difference in elevation between the natural ground level and the project’s level.
Solution
The client required a solution that met technical, architectural, and environmental requirements, incorporating a green face to transform the retaining structure into a landscaping solution. To fulfill these requirements, a Terramesh® Green with Polimac technology was designed and installed, covering an area of approximately 2,000.00 square meters. This solution became a distinguishing feature among the options considered, as it offers high long-term performance, and the composition of the face supports vegetation growth.
